Malavi Ravindran |
Kalyani Varnam |
JuniorsII |
Good understanding of the structure of the varnam. Has to take it further along these lines. |
Good attempt of Varnam. The easy flow of voice can be capitalized further. |
12 |
Maya Ravindran |
Kalyani Ragam Only |
JuniorsII |
Has got a facile voice.the original, conventional svarupa of kalyani should be leant before trying out raga alapana. |
The candidate has a good voice. But it is wrongly exploited on fast passages without proper seating on the Swaras and hurried brigas are like the falling of dry leaves from a tree. A slow, relaxed version on Jeeva Swaras can make a logical build up ending in swift brigas,( which she is capable of and quite talented) will help in the long run.Though the raga and Krithi are in different ragas, counting on overall ability. |
